Dear Friends,

 

Today is Passion (Palm) Sunday.

We begin our celebration today with the Blessing of the Palms and the Procession.

Please note that there will be no Masses at 11.00am and at 1.00pm on Holy Thursday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday.

Holy Week Ceremonies

The Easter Triduum begins with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday, 2nd April at 7.30pm. This will include the customary Washing of the Feet and the Procession to the Altar of Repose.

On Good Friday,3rd April, there will Stations of the Cross at 12.15 noon and the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3.00pm.

 Correction from last week: The Easter Vigil will take place in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 9.00pmon Holy Saturday.  There will be noEaster Vigil service in Gardiner Street Church.

Volunteers to read at Mass and for the Choir

Margaret (our soloist) and Seamus (our organist) would welcome people to join the choir. Rehearsals are on a Sunday morning at 10.15 am in the John Sullivan Room, before the 11.00amMass.

Reading Club

Our nextmeeting will be on Monday, 30th March from 10.00am – 12 Noon. We are currentlyreading The Confessions of St. Augustine, edited by Benignus O’Rourke OSA. Youare welcome to join.

THE LITTLE 11-TODAY & ON EASTER SUNDAY

Special activities for children every second Sunday at 11 am Mass. Children are led inspecial faith formation activities, such as guided prayer, story telling,drawing, etc. by a group of safeguarded volunteers. The Little 11 lasts 15-20minutes and takes place in the Coffee Room, opposite the door leading to PopeFrancis corridor.

Parents are also welcome

 

PIONEER ASSOCIATION

Gardiner St PTAA centre and Dublin Diocesan PTAA council are seeking Pioneers who wish to receive their jubilarian certificates and pins. If you are a Pioneer for 10, 25, 50 or 60 years we would like to hear from you.

We would also like to hear from people wishing to join the Pioneer Association.

COLLECTION PRO TERRA SANCTA

Following are quest from the Holy See, Archbishop Farrell has this year again asked that we take up a collection on Good Friday for the Holy Land, Pro Terra Sancta. This collection takes place in dioceses throughout the world. We are invited to pray and to collect funds for the Catholic community in the Holy Land and for the maintenance of the Holy Places there.
