Weekly Newsletter - 22nd March 2026

Dear Friends,

Today is the Fifth Sunday of Lent.

Saint of the Week

The Diocese of Clogher (Monaghan) celebrates the Feast of Saint Macartan on Tuesday, 24th March. Macartan was converted to Christianity by St. Patrick and was popularly known as Patrick’s‘ Strongman’ because of his dedication to the fledgling Church in Ireland. Macartan became the first bishop of Clogher. He died in 506 AD.
