Dear Friends,
Today is The Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
My thanks to all who participated in the Novena to the Sacred Heart; to our servers, sacristans, candle-sellers, choir members, cantors, organists, ministers of the Eucharist, collectors and celebrants of the various Masses. May the Sacred Heart continue to bless us all.
Saint of the Week – Saint Romuald (c.950 – 1027) Born in Ravenna, Italy, Romuald is said to have ‘fled the world’ in horror when he saw his father killing a relative in a quarrel over property. He became an important figure among those 11th century monks who sought to reform contemporary monasticism in a direction of greater solitude. He founded two important monasteries of hermits – Fonte Avellana in the Apennines and the semi-eremitical monastery of Camaldoli, near Arezzo, a truly beautiful spot where you can see some monks living in hermitages in the hills and others living in community in the monastery. Today, we still have Camaldoli monks and hermits – they are known as ‘Camaldolese’.

GIVE ACHILD A SEAT IN THE CLASSROOM
At 15,Violet lives in Nairobi's Kangemi slums. After her father died, her motherRehema struggled to support eight children alone, and attending school becameimpossible. Through Educate a Child and the Jesuit-run Upendo Programme,Violet received educational support, a daily school meal, counselling andhealthcare, enabling her to return to school. Today, she dreams of becoming ajournalist and creating a brighter future for her family. Your support hasgiven Violet hope—and the chance to achieve her dreams.
Everychild deserves a seat in a classroom: a place to learn, grow and imagine abrighter future. With your support, children in some of the world's mostmarginalised communities can access the education they need to thrive and reachtheir full potential.
A giftof €20 provides a school kit with essential learningmaterials. A gift of €200 can keep a child in school for an entire term.
Donate today and give a child like Violet the chance to learn, thrive and dream. Your support can change a life through education. 📚
