Dear parishioners,
This Sunday is a ‘Little Eleven’ Sunday, when we invite the children to go to the coffee room for special activities during the 11 am Mass. If you know of any parents who are looking for a nice Mass for their children then please let them know about it. Sincere thanks to Iva, Susan, Bernadette and Stephanie who run these activities for us. They are sowing seeds of faith that will grow for many years to come.
Every blessing,
Fr Niall
THE LITTLE ELEVEN – ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AT MASS
Every second Sunday at the 11 am Mass we offer enjoyable faith activities for primary school children in the coffee room with two safeguarded adults. We call it The Little Eleven. The children go out just before the first reading and they come back at the offertory to join us for the Eucharist. A parent or guardian is also welcome to join if they wish to. For more information please contact Iva [email protected] or talk to one of the parish team.

POPE FRANCIS, HUMANITY’S SPIRITUALDIRECTOR - A TALK BY AUSTEN IVEREIGH
26th April 2024 -7.30pm
Francis, the world’s first Jesuit pope, has been profoundly shaped by the spirituality of St Ignatius, not just in his own life but in the way he leads the Church. Drawing on both his wisdom as Pope but also the talks he gave to Jesuits on retreats back in Argentina —most of them never translated into English — his biographer Austen Ivereigh will give us some Ignatian “keys” to the journey he has taken the Church on these past 11 years. Ivereigh's insights come from his new book, "First Belong to God: On Retreat with Pope Francis", which will be available on the night. We hope to see you there!
THE CHURCH-24 SURVEY – ANINVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
You are being asked for 15 to 20minutes of your time to complete a survey that will enable you to give your perspective, share what you believe about some significant issues, and relate your experiences of church life since the pandemic.
The Church-24 survey has three main objectives:
1. To listen to churchgoers on a range of long-standing issues and questions, particularly as they are being brought to light in the synodal process.
2. To explore some new issues that face us now, or soon will, but which were not talked about so much a decade ago, such as climate change, artificial intelligence, assisted dying or safeguarding procedures.
3. The Covid pandemic is over… or is it? What’s happened to you and your faith community since lockdowns ended?
Further details on the Church-24survey can be found at https://www.yorksj.ac.uk/the-church-24-survey/.
